Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a BYD Sealion 6 take?
The BYD Sealion 6 (2023-2025) takes a 25 inch (625mm) blade on the driver side and a 19 inch (475mm) blade on the passenger side. The same front sizes apply to every model year in the table above.
Does the BYD Sealion 6 have a rear wiper?
Yes, the BYD Sealion 6 is fitted with a rear wiper blade as standard. The rear blade is 9 inches (225mm) and is available on its own or as part of a front and rear kit. Owners should replace all three blades at the same time for consistent visibility.
What wiper connector does the BYD Sealion 6 use?
The BYD Sealion 6 uses a slim push button connector on both front wiper arms. The blade slides onto the narrow arm end and clicks into place, then releases by pressing the button, so it needs a blade made for the slim push button fitting.
Why is the BYD Sealion 6 rear wiper blade so short?
The Sealion 6 rear blade is only 9 inches (225mm), much shorter than the 25 inch (625mm) and 19 inch (475mm) front pair. A short rear blade still wears at the same rate as the fronts, so it should be checked whenever the front blades are replaced.
How often should I replace BYD Sealion 6 wiper blades?
BYD Sealion 6 wiper blades should generally be replaced every 12 months, or sooner if they streak, smear or chatter. Family SUVs that spend time on dusty or unsealed roads tend to wear blades faster, as grit on the glass scratches the rubber edge.
