Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a BYD Shark 6 take?
The BYD Shark 6 (2024-2026) takes a 22 inch (550mm) blade on the driver side and an 18 inch (450mm) blade on the passenger side. The same sizes apply to every model year in the table above.
Does the BYD Shark 6 have a rear wiper?
No, the BYD Shark 6 does not have a rear wiper blade. This model is fitted with two front wiper blades only, which can be confirmed in the specifications on the product page.
What wiper connector does the BYD Shark 6 use?
The BYD Shark 6 uses a slim push button connector on both front wiper arms. The blade slides onto the narrow arm end and clicks into place, then releases by pressing the button, so it needs a blade made for the slim push button fitting.
Are the BYD Shark 6 wiper blades shorter than other BYD models?
Yes, the Shark 6 driver blade is 22 inches (550mm), shorter than the 24 to 26 inch driver blades used on other BYD models. Blades from a BYD passenger car are the wrong length for the Shark 6, so sizes should always be matched to this model.
How often should I replace BYD Shark 6 wiper blades?
BYD Shark 6 wiper blades should generally be replaced every 12 months, or sooner if they streak, smear or chatter. Utes used for work, towing or regular gravel and dirt road driving often need new blades more frequently, as dust and grit wear down the rubber edge.
