Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Ford Cougar take?
The Ford Cougar (1999-2004) takes a 22 inch (550mm) blade on the driver side and a 19 inch (475mm) blade on the passenger side. These sizes apply across every year of the model.
Does the Ford Cougar have a rear wiper?
No, the Ford Cougar does not have a rear wiper blade. This model is fitted with two front wiper blades only, which can be confirmed in the specifications on the product page.
What wiper connector does the Ford Cougar use?
The Ford Cougar uses a J-hook connector on both front wiper arms. The hook at the end of the arm slides through the blade adaptor and clicks into place, which is one of the simplest connectors to service.
Does the Ford Cougar use the same wiper blades as the Mondeo?
The Cougar shares its platform with the Mondeo, and its 22 inch (550mm) driver and 19 inch (475mm) passenger blades with a J-hook connector match the HB to HE Mondeo. Owners should still order using the Cougar listing to confirm the fit.
How often should I replace Ford Cougar wiper blades?
Ford Cougar wiper blades should be replaced around every 12 months. The steeply raked windscreen on a coupe catches a lot of sun, so the rubber can harden and streak sooner on cars parked outdoors.
