Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Ford Econovan take?
The Ford Econovan (JG JH, 1997-2005) takes a 16 inch (400mm) blade on the driver side and a 16 inch (400mm) blade on the passenger side. Both front blades are the same length, so the Econovan uses a matched pair.
Does the Ford Econovan have a rear wiper?
Yes, the Ford Econovan is listed with a rear wiper blade. The rear blade is 18 inches (450mm), and owners should replace all three blades at the same time for consistent visibility.
What wiper connector does the Ford Econovan use?
The Ford Econovan uses a J-hook connector on both front wiper arms. The hook at the end of the arm slides through the blade adaptor and clicks into place, which makes blade changes simple.
Why is the Ford Econovan rear wiper longer than the front blades?
The Econovan uses short 16 inch (400mm) front blades, while the rear blade is longer at 18 inches (450mm). Owners should not assume the rear blade matches the front length when ordering.
How often should I replace Ford Econovan wiper blades?
Ford Econovan wiper blades should be replaced around every 12 months. Many Econovans are still in commercial use, and high kilometres combined with an upright windscreen that catches rain and grit can wear blades faster.
