Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Ford Fairmont take?
The Ford Fairmont Sedan takes a 22 inch (550mm) blade on the driver side and a 22 inch (550mm) blade on the passenger side. These sizes apply to the EF EL, AU, BA and BF generations (1994-2008).
Does the Ford Fairmont have a rear wiper?
No, the Ford Fairmont Sedan does not have a rear wiper blade. This model is fitted with two front wiper blades only, which can be confirmed in the specifications on the product page.
What wiper connector does the Ford Fairmont use?
The Ford Fairmont uses a J-hook connector on both front wiper arms. The hook at the end of the arm passes through the blade adaptor and locks into place, and the connector is the same across every Fairmont generation listed.
Are Ford Fairmont wiper blades the same as the Falcon?
Yes, the Fairmont Sedan shares its windscreen and wiper layout with the Falcon Sedan of the same series. Both take a 22 inch (550mm) driver blade and a 22 inch (550mm) passenger blade with a J-hook connector from the EF EL through to the BF.
How often should I replace Ford Fairmont wiper blades?
Ford Fairmont wiper blades should generally be replaced every 12 months. Cars garaged most of the time can last a little longer, but blades on a Fairmont parked in the sun usually harden and start to streak sooner.
