Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Ford Taurus take?
The Ford Taurus (DN DP, 1996-1999) takes a 20 inch (500mm) blade on the driver side and a 20 inch (500mm) blade on the passenger side. Both blades are the same length, so the Taurus uses a matched pair.
Does the Ford Taurus have a rear wiper?
No, the Ford Taurus does not have a rear wiper blade. This model is fitted with two front wiper blades only, which can be confirmed in the specifications on the product page.
What wiper connector does the Ford Taurus use?
The Ford Taurus uses a J-hook connector on both front wiper arms. The hook at the end of the arm passes through the blade adaptor and clicks into place, so new blades can be fitted without tools.
Can the Ford Taurus wiper blades be swapped between sides?
Both front blades on the Taurus are 20 inches (500mm) and use the same J-hook connector, so either blade fits either arm. Owners should still replace both at the same time for an even wipe across the windscreen.
How often should I replace Ford Taurus wiper blades?
Ford Taurus wiper blades should generally be replaced every 12 months. As the DN DP is now more than 25 years old, worn wiper arm springs are common, so arm tension is worth checking if new blades still streak.
