Frequently Asked Questions
What size wiper blades does a Mercedes-AMG G55 take?
The G55 (W463, 2011-2013) takes a 16 inch (400mm) blade on the driver side and a 16 inch (400mm) blade on the passenger side. These short blades suit the narrow, upright G-Class windscreen.
Does the Mercedes-AMG G55 have a rear wiper?
Yes, the Mercedes-AMG G55 is fitted with a rear wiper blade as standard. The rear blade is 15 inches (375mm) and is sold separately from the front pair, and owners should replace all three blades at the same time for consistent visibility.
What wiper connector does the Mercedes-AMG G55 use?
The G55 uses a J-hook connector, where the hook on the end of the arm passes through the blade adaptor and clicks into place. No tools are needed to change the blades.
Does the G55 use the same wiper blades as the G63?
Yes, the G55 takes the same 16 inch (400mm) front pair, J-hook connector and 15 inch (375mm) rear blade as the W463 G63 and the W463 G-Class. The flat windscreen is shared across these models.
How often should I replace Mercedes-AMG G55 wiper blades?
Mercedes-AMG G55 wiper blades should generally be replaced every 12 months, or sooner if they streak, smear or chatter. Owners who drive on dirt or sand should check them more often, as fine dust wears the rubber edge quickly.
